#Billable events
Our two billable events types are:
- Patient links
- Patient auto-updates
#Patient links
A patient link is defined as a successful patient authorization and data synchronization.
This means that before we bill you we have verified that:
- The patient logged in successfully
- The data you need is available
A successful patient authorization happens when you exchange an authorization token for an access token and data has been synchronized.
This specific API call is POST /link/exchange
You can use the access token to pull as many FHIR resources as you want for the duration that it is valid (24 hours).
#Patient auto-updates
For active MULTIPLE usage patient authorizations, Flexpa automatically updates patient data in our system at least every 24 hours, maintaining active patient authorizations as permitted by the payer.
This service, billed on a 30-day cycle for each patient link, ensures your application has continuous access to up-to-date patient data.
If the patient authorization is lost at any point during the 30-day period, you will not be charged for that cycle.
The POST /link/token route allows for the creation of a new access token upon the expiration of the original, ensuring continued, unrestricted access to the patient's FHIR resources.
