#Steps to connect
#1. Search and select your health plan
Flexpa opens with a few popular health plans displayed along with the option to search for over 200 other health plans that are supported. You may use the language toggle in the bottom right corner to switch between English, Spanish, and Korean.
Type in the search box for your health plan name as it appears on your insurance card. The list is sorted by closest match at the top. If you don't see your plan, please scroll to the bottom of the list and request it so we can prioritize support for your plan.
#2. Provide consent
After selecting your health plan, you'll see a consent screen that explains how the application uses Flexpa to connect to your health plan. This screen includes Flexpa's commitments around data privacy: Flexpa will never sell your personal information, you can revoke access at any time, and Flexpa has attested to the CARIN Code of Conduct. You must check the box agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click "Continue" to proceed.
You can read more about our privacy policy, security, and terms of service at the links provided.
#3. Authorize with your health plan
After clicking "Continue" from the consent screen, a new browser tab will open and redirect you to your health plan's login page. Enter your member portal username and password to sign in.
If you don't have an online account already, look for a "Sign Up," "Register," or "Create Account" option on the login page. Some health plans require a separate registration for data sharing — see the Troubleshooting tips page for plan-specific guidance.
After logging in, your health plan will ask you to authorize the sharing of your information with Flexpa. Review the permissions listed and click "Allow" or "Authorize" to proceed.
Need help during this step? While you're completing the health plan login in the new tab, the original Flexpa tab displays a "Need help?" chat assistant. The assistant already knows which health plan you're connecting to and can help troubleshoot login and authentication issues in real time.
If the chat assistant can't resolve your issue, email patient-support@flexpa.com or visit the Troubleshooting tips page.
#4. Redirect back to application
Once you've successfully logged in and authorized Flexpa, you will be automatically redirected back to Flexpa. A "You're connected" confirmation screen will appear with a green checkmark. If you're not automatically redirected to the application, click the "Continue" button to return.
#5. You're all set!
That's it! Your health plan data is now connected and the application can begin retrieving your information.
If you followed the above steps but received an error, check the Troubleshooting tips page or email patient-support@flexpa.com.
#Revoking access
You may revoke access to an application connected through Flexpa any time using Flexpa Connections. Simply connect the health plan you want to revoke access to, and after a successful connection you'll have the ability to revoke access to specific applications that have connected to that health plan.
