WASHINGTON, DC – April 9, 2026 — Flexpa today announced it is among the applications compatible with Blue Button V3, the latest release of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Blue Button program which includes support for CMS Aligned Network connectivity for Medicare beneficiaries.

Blue Button V3 marks a new phase in CMS's Blue Button data access program. For the first time, Blue Button supports connectivity through CMS Aligned Networks — enabling a new generation of applications to help Medicare beneficiaries retrieve and use their health data.

With Flexpa, Medicare beneficiaries can now retrieve their records from Medicare.gov without a Medicare.gov login, using CLEAR or ID.me for identity verification instead. Once verified, beneficiaries get access to their own Medicare claims records and a digital insurance card, all in one place.

Flexpa gives Medicare beneficiaries:

  • Access to their Medicare records without a Medicare.gov login, using CLEAR or ID.me
  • A digital insurance card alongside their claims history
  • The ability to share records of their choice with providers via QR codes and SMART Health Links

This release builds on Flexpa's broader mission to connect patients to every access pathway for their health data: health insurers via CMS-9115, medical record systems via ONC (g)(10), and nationwide exchanges including CMS Aligned Networks and TEFCA IAS.

Being in the first wave of Blue Button V3 applications means Medicare beneficiaries can start using Flexpa today. No Medicare.gov password required. Just verify your identity, retrieve your records, and share what you choose.

Free for everyone at flexpa.com/app.
