Flexpa Reaches Production as Kill the Clipboard Early Adopter

WASHINGTON, DC – April 9, 2026 — Flexpa today announced it has reached production as one of the first wave of adopters for CMS Aligned Networks, fulfilling its pledge for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Kill the Clipboard initiative.

Kill the Clipboard is an initiative announced by CMS that encourages technology companies to help empower patients to retrieve their health records and share data of their choice with providers — no portal passwords, no clipboards, no repetitive forms. Flexpa's achievement marks a milestone in making this vision a reality for patients nationwide.

As a CMS Aligned Network early adopter, Flexpa enables patients to:

  • Retrieve their own health data from across the healthcare system without portal passwords
  • Share data of their choice with any provider via QR codes and SMART Health Links
  • Access the service for free at flexpa.com/app

Flexpa connects to every patient access network — health insurers via CMS-9115, medical record systems via ONC (g)(10), and nationwide exchanges like CMS Aligned Networks and TEFCA IAS — providing a single connection for patient access to health records.

Getting to production means patients can use Flexpa today to take control of their health data. No more filling out the same forms at every doctor's office. No more trying to remember portal passwords. Patients simply retrieve their records and share what they choose — securely and instantly.

The Kill the Clipboard pledge reflects broader industry collaboration to advance a more patient-centric healthcare data ecosystem. Flexpa is proud to be among the first to deliver on that promise.

Free for everyone at flexpa.com/app.
