San Francisco, CA | August 3, 2026 – Flexpa has partnered with Solverein, maker of MedicalEase, to bring patients' complete clinical and claims records into MedicalEase through a single patient-authorized API. MedicalEase helps personal injury firms obtain, organize, and summarize medical records into physician-designed chronologies. With patient authorization, Flexpa retrieves records from health plans and providers across its network and the TEFCA national health information network and delivers them into MedicalEase, so attorneys and paralegals get a complete record set in minutes instead of weeks, without chasing individual custodians.
For a personal injury case, the depth and completeness of a person's medical and billing history is what determines how well an attorney can document injuries, establish causation, and account for pre-existing conditions. Through the Flexpa integration, MedicalEase can pull a client's clinical records — such as diagnoses, medications, procedures, encounters, and lab results — along with claims and billing history going back several years, then turn them into interactive, physician-designed chronologies and summaries.
By consolidating on Flexpa's single API, MedicalEase retrieves clinical and claims data across more than 350 health plans, 45,000+ providers, and the TEFCA network without maintaining separate integrations or identity-verification infrastructure for each source.
"A patient's records belong to the patient, first and always. With Flexpa, that principle becomes practice. Patients share what they choose, when they choose, and the attorneys representing them spend their time building the case rather than tracking down the records," said Gabe Hillegass, MD, MLS, a pain medicine physician and Founder and CEO of Solverein, Inc.
All data access is patient-authorized through Flexpa's consent management system. Flexpa is listed in the Medicare App Library, independently verified by CMS to meet high standards for privacy, security, and patient-authorized data exchange.
